Homebrew: Falling Damage

Upon hitting the ground, the following occurs:   If the creature fell 15 feet or less, they may make a Dexterity (Acrobatics) check with a DC equal to the distance fallen. On failure, they land prone on the ground, but are otherwise unharmed. On success, they may choose to remain standing; otherwise, they fall prone as if they failed.   If the creature fell more than 15 feet, it lands prone and takes 6 bludgeoning damage per 10 feet fallen, to a maximum of 600 bludgeoning damage, which cannot be reduced. This damage ignores bludgeoning damage resistance. Creatures with bludgeoning damage immunity still take half damage.   A creature which lands in sufficiently deep water may, at GM discretion, roll a DC15 Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check to dive into the water head or feet first, reducing the damage they take by half.   See Also:
