Alvani (All-Van-Ee)
This old town, drenched in rain and dirt, was the starting point of their journey. Having made it from different parts of the world, they gathered here, the ones who would be known as the Wanadead, and embarked on a journey that would change their lives.
In this rowdy town, full of booze, sweat, and cheers, they met under the thatched canopies of the Brandy Town's tavern and met the old Smuggler known as Mirt Gilander. From there... well, you known how the story goes.
Demographics
Impossible to say really. A whole assortment of races, although very few humans.
Government
Alvani has no real form of government, rather it is broken up by the individual taverns which form the sudo-districts of Alvani.
Taxation isn't really a thing, most people who live there, live there because their family have homes or are renting.
The laws of Alvani are made up by whichever tavern's district you find yourself in. For instance, some don't mind brawls, others hate them. Punishment and crimes are usually swept under the rug, with "special" people being hired to take the criminals and "dispose" of them.
Defences
Although Alvani has no actually militia, should the empire ever come, they have maned cannons along their docks and the entire town is ready to defend their home.
Industry & Trade
Alvani has lots of trade from all over, being a port town. The majority of Alvani's business, however, comes from the taverns who employ all kinds of folk for various jobs.

There are nine main districts, which are governed by the tavern's they are named after.
1. Gandri's Tap. Owned by a gruf looking Goliath.

4. Sap. Owned by a Halfling Druid.
5. Pellomar's Tavern. Owned by a shy Sea Elf.
6. Minsky's. Owned by a very friendly Half-Orc.
7. Brandy Town. Owned by an entire retired Dwarven Mining Brigade.
8. Felendral and Son's. Owned by an old elven family.
9. Yap-Yap. Owned by a very aggresive Kobold.
History
A shanty town on the Lith'Dolvi side of Quevar's Bay, Alvani is a one-stop-shop type of town.
Built during the time of the Aridaz Colonies by the Empire, Alvani only spiked in popularity after Kadesh was put on lockdown. The reason being, Alvani was an excellent meeting location for people looking to be smuggled in by sea. With this new business, Alvani soon turned into a town full of supplies, inns, and taverns where all the would-be adventurers could take a rest before embarking on their journey to the City of Jewels.
Many of these smugglers became almost residents of the town, getting the bartenders to convince people to get themselves smuggled. One of the more famous ones, Mirt Gilander, was known to spend entire months just going there and back.
Although Mirt had somewhat retired, he, for some reason, made his way down to Alvani. There, he managed to pick up three adventurers.
Points of interest
Many people journey here to be smuggled into Kadesh.
Tourism
Tourist find themselves journeying around to all the taverns. There is even a local "game" to promote business among all the taverns where tourists are encouraged by stamps to drink at all the taverns. The prize at the end, well that's Alvani's secret.
Architecture
Normal, human-esque settlements, although heavily modified to fit the inhabitants that took them over.
Geography
Located on somewhat of a marshy part of the Dark-Light Forest, Alvani is surround by trees on one side and the water on the other. Bordering Quevar's Bay, Alvani gets a lot of trade and food from the ocean.
If one looks across the water from the docks as the sun rises, they can see the glimmer of the City of Jewels taunting them from across the water.
Natural Resources
Alvani is rich with wood and fish. However, they have to be careful with how far they go out to fish, as Sahuagin, fish people, have been known to live somewhere in the middle of Quevar's Bay.
