Akumagth (A-Koo-Mag-Th)
A small Dragonborn fishing village at the edge of the Gorgal Jungle, Akumagth has always been a quiet place, never amounting to more than a place were Dragonborn live, specifically Bronze Dragonborn.
Although a few Dragonborn Paladin families have called Akumagth their home, Akumagth has never been a place worth journeying to for most adventures, preferring to stick to the heart of the jungle, the ancient city of Godugal.
However, Akumagth is home to Malthek Alicrath, the newest ally and potential member of the Wanadead, and his family.
While Malthek hasn't done anything remarkable just yet, it seems destiny and fate both have their eyes on him.
Demographics
Composed of mostly Bronze Dragonborn, Akumagth is home to a few other species such as Wood Elves, Stout Halflings, and other colours of Dragonborn.
85% Bronze Dragonborn, 9% Other Dragonborn, 6% other races.
Government
Akumagth is governed by a leader who is the face of the settlement when councils are called in Godugal.
However, the leader acts according to their deliberation with the three chosen elders of settlement.
Dragonborn laws are sacred and affect the entirety of the Gorgal Jungle Dragonborn and are enacted in Godugal. These laws contain within them that no Gorgal Jungle Dragonborn shall harm another Gorgal Jungle Dragonborn, no Gorgal Jungle Dragonborn or Gorgal Jungle Dragonborn settlement shall invade another Gorgal Jungle Dragonborn settlement, and that all Gorgal Jungle Dragonborn shall help one another prosper and grow.
One of the most important laws is that no Gorgal Jungle Dragonborn shall harm or kill any species of True Dragons.
Gorgal Jungle Dragonborn are community based people and have not been corrupted by the Human world.
Industry & Trade
Akumagth trades with Godugal as well as the other Dragonborn settlements around the Gorgal Jungle. It also trades with two Stout Halfings who journey to Akumagth to trade around 4 times a year.
Infrastructure
The Dragonborn of Akumagth live in well reinforced hut like houses. Akumagth borders the sea, so they do have a dock and small fishing boats as they live off fish. Other than that, Akumagth does not sport much else. There is one trading post that all residents go to to trade goods with eachother and a shrine so that the Platinum Dragon may watch over them.
Akumagth relies on Godugal for higher levels of trade and resources.
History
Built long before Humans were ruling the world, Akumagth has always been a small village at the edge of the jungle. While most Dragonborn live in the bigger settlements that formed in the Gorgal Jungle, Akumagth still remains populated by the ancestors of those who founded the settlement.
Although it has never amounted to much, Akumagth is home to a few Dragonborn Paladin families who have, thoughout the years, protected the settlement from anything that should bring them harm.
Although in recent centuries there has been more and more adventurers who have begun to explore the Gorgal Jungle, Akumagth has stayed relatively off their radar.
Architecture
Akumagth's building are made out of wood and stone, and are shaped like large huts. They use the Gorgal Cedar wood that grows around them. This wood sports an orang-ish color. The residents of Akumagth adorn their houses with meaningful trinkets and art that expresses their families achievements.
Geography
Akumagth is built along a wide strip of grassy beach at the Eastern edge of the Lith'Dolvi Conclave. It borders the Cesivium sea and can be seen poking out of the jungle by passing ships. Akumagth is a beautiful area that is cherished and protect by the Dragonborn that live there.
Natural Resources
Akumagth has more than enough wood, stone, and fish available to them, which is enough to keep them alive. What they don't have access to, such as wheat, they are able to purchase from the Halfing traders who come to visit.
