Her parents belonged to the Religion of Anubis, so when an inquisitor of the Warrior's of the Holy Light needed to open a magic door in Bastion des Champissons temple. She sacrificed Roise and her parents, over serval days, in the hopes of working out how to open the door, but it all failed.
When Jin Ryoto and the others left Imhotep hidden workshop though the door. They found Roise's freshly killed body and Jin Ryoto negotiated her return to life with Anubis God of Death in exchange for another life.
