William Brindol
The discoverer of Ashkrim and founder of the colony, William Brindol was the younger son of Baron Brindol, and went on to be a sea captain turned statesman. After several successful voyages, he established the first settlement on the southern coast, later named Brindol in his honor. A shrewd leader, he laid the groundwork for the colony's growth but passed power through marriage to the Stratton line when he married his daughter Elizabeth Brindol off to Lord Arthur Stratton.
