Due to his birthright and upbringing, Sylvain's worldview is rather fitting of an aristocrat, often aloof of the troubles of the masses. Material which comes into contact with an affected body part has its intermolecular structure altered, causing its density to dramatically increase to the point of appearing to completely disintegrate. Sufficiently dense materials such as diamonds are unaffected. The rate at which the material condenses is dependent on the complexity of the compound in question. While active, the surface of the body part in question has a glistening black appearance similar to ink. The ability is permanently active in the right hand up to the wrist, unpredictable in its intensity unless consciously kept in check.
Basic: Can "dissolve" an object that fits in the palm (or a similar size) within a moment, requires constant contact.
Minor: Can quickly "dissolve" material that comes into contact with his hand over a limited period of time.
Normal: Can extend the aforementioned effect to a larger portion of his body, or an object he touches which is unaffected by the ability.

The ability allows the user to manipulate his physical appearance in various ways, although the effect of Condensing Touch cannot be disabled. The shapeshifting effect remains in place for up to 3 hours after activation unless "renewed" through a new usage of the power.

Minor: Can alter his physical features, including limited changes in actual body shape.
Normal: Can alter his physical features to the point of adopting a completely different human appearance.

Born the latest scion of an old, illustrious and above all wealthy English family, Sylvain Moresby grew up in a peaceful suburb in Kent, learning his way among the high society. Thanks to the family's recent exploits in the field of biomedical sciences, his future in the company was all but assured. As its North American branch shaped up to become his future focus, his university degree in economics was completed in New Victoria in order to help him create connections in the city. Having gained some experience in the company, he rose through the ranks swiftly - no doubt in part thanks to his name - and came to oversee the security affairs of the branch. This did not last long without incident before the complex was devastated by an accident of as of yet unconfirmed origins, leaving Sylvain to monitor the rebuilding effort as well as to safeguard the family interests in the swiftly developing field on his father's behalf.
While it is common knowledge that his family have a foothold in evo-related research and development, he also possesses far more personal stakes in the field. Whether his natural aptitude in the form of a mimic ability has anything to do with the Moresbys' recurring fascination in the advancement of human evolution since the times of Darwin is unknown. His other ability, however, is verifiably the consequence of a seemingly minor accident caused by a mixture of curiosity and negligence in his youth. As the resulting effect has intensified over the years, Sylvain's goals are defined on one hand by his growing concern to contain this anomaly, and on another by the ambition to exploit it.
