Good morning, New Victoria. This is Mary Mays with breaking news.   Four police officers are in critical condition after a raid on the so called “6th Street Sparks” street gang went horribly wrong. Officers and SWAT surrounded a complex in the Henry Neighborhood where they suspected Blood Bolt to be located.   Instead of the at large Evo Gang leader, they encountered a significant force of armed gangsters who opened fire and started a gun battle in the streets of the city earlier this morning.   Reports say that 3 of the attackers are deceased, with 5 in custody. Further information says this may have been a diversion to allow a larger group to get away.   Chief Butler had this to say:
“I encourage citizens to go about their daily lives with the standard of caution we should all have in this modern world. Folks know there are bad people out there, and we have the good guys searching every nook and cranny for them. We will find them; don’t you worry folks. And they will be brought to justice.”   “Meanwhile, I must remind you fine people that one bad apple does not speak for the bunch. This ‘Blood Bolt’ fella is a dangerous, twisted, cruel person who just happens to be an Evo. But right now, there are Evos working with the police to apprehend him. There are Evos who have been his victims. So, I’ll say this kindly, but I hope you know I mean it. I will tolerate no turning on our fellow man because one nut case is on the loose. I don’t see normal folks going to war with each other for the hundreds of criminals we bring in a month. This is no different.”   “Be kind. Be caring. Be watchful. And most of all be safe. Thank you.”
