Personal history

Son of one of the toughest soldiers of the US Marine Corps, JJ lived a happy life with his father and mother; a happy life with no powers within the family... until the one fateful day that nearly took JJ's life. At age 16, JJ figured he could help his father fix the power box to his house before he was sent off to help overseas. JJ being ecstatic about helping his father had not knew his mother and father had came back from the store, his mother than accidentally hitting a switch that would cause an electrical explosion while JJ was fixing the wires. Then at that moment when he tried fixing on wires, an electrical explosion occurred leaving JJ in critical condition. Once his parents realized what was going on and saw the aftermath, the ambulance was on the way. During the explosion, JJ hit his head on the ground, resulting in putting him in a one year coma. Sadly, during that coma his father still had to be shipped overseas. One week after he woke up from his coma, JJ had found out that his father was killed in combat, by a mutant. But what was even weirder is that the doctors, JJ, and both his mom and dad had found out that JJ was born with special electrical powers, no wonder why he didn't die from the strong currents. But from that day JJ has hated the fact that Evo's were allowed in war. Unfair. They're taking over human lives. Unfair. Changing his happiness. Unfair. Ever since his father's funeral JJ's mentality had changed, hindering his life. His grades were struggling, he got into drugs, drinking and the petty life of crime. Armed robberies, vandalism. But it was when his mom was diagnosed with cancer that he snapped. Fast forward to her funeral he was 18, dropped out of high school, unemployed and running from authority. He wondered, were there no heroes able to help his mother? His father had just died, a military personnel, would no heroes be sympathetic and help his dying mother?! Were there no heroes alive with some sort of healing or time travel abilities to redo all the shit that had unfolded in his wretched life. So after the death of his parents, JJ continued the life of Crime. Soon upgrading to killing for money, no matter how he did it, as long as he got paid. He wanted to get stronger, faster, to kill any hero who would tell him this way was not the way to go. He wanted the whole world to know about him, Chess.
