Evangeline is quick to stand up for others, like the poor and downtrodden, yet struggles to speak up for herself. If you’re the underdog, she’s going to more than likely take your side. She’s quick to judge others and can be self-righteous, espeically when it deals with authority figures that appear to be or have a history of being corrupt, like almost all political and religious figures. She instinctually mistrusts them and is simply waiting for them to fuck up. In fact, she’s so certain of their inherent corruption that she sees no harm by exploiting her powers to nudge them onto their inevitable path. And she has yet to be proved wrong.

Basic: She can get strangers to feel comfortable around her and start letting down their guard. Plus, she looks good all the time. Waking up first thing in the morning? Languid and lovely. When she spills coffee on herself? Beautiful. Hell, she even cries pretty.
Minor: Those strangers want to be her friend and open up to her, because they feel as though they can trust her. Still looks freaking fantastic, too.
Normal: She’s either going to persuade you to do something for her or you’re going to wish she had, so you had something to do for her. She can’t make a person go against their deepest principles to please her.

Personal history

Eva’s childhood consisted of the orphanage and the very brief stints where she was almost adopted, but then something would happen and the family would back out at the last minute or have a change of heart. It wasn’t like she minded anyway. The orphanage was a pretty good place. She was clothed, fed, sheltered, and got along with most of the children who were unfortunate enough to find themselves there. There wasn’t much for her to complain about, all things considered. It could have been worse like having no home and living on the streets or, worse, getting adopted into a terrible family. She had heard stories of children getting placed with people so bad, that they would run away from such places and brave the streets.
Fortunately for Eva, she would never have to worry about a bad family and eventually she aged out of the system, but the orphanage didn’t really help her plan out her life as an adult. The first few years were rough on her and ironically enough, she did end up on the streets trying to get her life together. But the past is in the past and despite the questionable things she had done, her life had become better because of it. She was able to get herself a decent education and now she works at the funeral home, goes to Mass every Sunday, and deeply cares for her community. Soup kitchens, homeless shelters, visiting the elderly, and organizing food and clothes donations – she was well-known in those circles.
