Personal history

Alyssa was born to a single mother. Her father was an Evo; however, this fact was not revealed to her mother and she never met him personally. The earliest years of her childhood remained simple and carefree, with her mother's office job providing enough for modest living.
When Alyssa's powers first manifested at the age of eight, she was both amazed and frightened. For as long as she could remember, Alyssa has been at least vaguely aware of the tense relations between Evos and normal humans. Due to this, she has always opted to conceal her powers—even from her mother—in order to avoid potential retaliation. Only in private (and whenever she thought nobody was looking) did she practice using them.
