"Unknown" enters the scene. Um. What? Hello?

Summer 2021, Week 4, Sunday early morning

Henry, The Wards

Storyteller

On the rooftop, not far from where he had his wonderful run in with Cuervo, Dallas Lock stood overlooking the distant flashes of red and blue lights that paled in their vibrancy as the power of the sun took over as it made its way above the horizon. Letting the smoke curl out his nostrils, he heard the sound of a footstep on the rooftop. In a blink, he moved behind the sound, only to find himself facing the large, broad back of a man that towered over him.

Dallas Lock

"Sir. I wasn't aware you were in town."

Unknown

The man had a hood of a torn up hoodie pulled over his head. His outfit making it clear he was homeless, or at the very least quite good at pretending he was. The smell, the matted grey beard poking up with long strands of hair falling on either side of his face. The only thing that gave him away as a fraud was his posture. "Lucius failed then?"

Dallas Lock

"It is entirely my fault, sir. If only I had--"

Unknown

"Calm yourself, Dallas." His voice was soothing. A deep baritone of comfort and kindness, like a caring woodsman. "What Lucius decided to do or not do was out of your control. Humans are wild animals, full of vigor and free will. I'm happy we found out sooner rather than later that we couldn't rely on him. He and his show are not why I'm here, however."

Dallas Lock

His head had been bowed the entire time leading up to this moment. Only now did he finally raise it slightly. "How can I be of service then?"

Unknown

"We have an errand to run. I'll need your assistance, so take the day to set up whatever you need in order to assist me. I'll also need to change. This will require a more palatable persona. I think a shower would do nicely as well."

Dallas Lock

"Of course, sir. I'll have it arranged by the time we set off."

Unknown

"Reliable as always, Dallas."
