These monsters reek havoc on the coastlines and to wayward ships that would happen upon the territory of the behemoths. But there are those among mere mortals who take on these beasts and their name are Sea Wardens.
Also known as the Guardians of the Deep, are a renowned guild of warriors and mages that hail from all over Everwind and navigate the treacherous waters of the open oceans. These people dedicate their lives to protecting the surface world from the unfathomable horrors that lurk just beneath the surface.
The Sea Wardens operate independently from any king or authority figure, they hold no alliegances other than their pledge to safeguarding the seas. Their reputation as fearless, unwavering defenders has earned them the respect of rulers and leaders across the realms, who willingly provide financial support for the guild to ensure the vital service of protecting the coasts and sailors.
The role of a Sea Warden is perilous and demands unwavering dedication to their oath. It is not for the faint of heart, only those with iron wills of commitment to an often thankless job. Sea Wardens willingly face some of the most terrifying creatures of the deep, venturing into the heart of darkness to confront ancient beasts and malevolent forces. While the common person may think a Sea Warden's duty is to simply exterminate these monstrous threat, the truth is more complicated than that. Many of these creatures are impervious to current weapons and makes traditional forms of combat ineffective.
