"A crown buys you praise, a sword earns you fear, but a man with a shovel and nerve can dig up a king’s grave just the same."
The kingdom of Everwealth is a land carved by toil, cleverness, and desperation. Professions are not mere trades here, they are lifelines, gambles, or performances, each shaped by the kingdom’s fractured landscapes and harsh economy, varied and weatherworn as the land itself. From wandering poets who perform in candlelit taverns for crusts and coin, to seasoned woodsmen who can smell rain before it falls, the kingdom's labor is shaped by terrain, tradition, and desperation. Some are born into their craft, inheriting the calloused hands of their parents: blacksmiths whose forges blaze against the cold decay of civilization, stonemasons etching whispered names into the foundations of crumbling keeps, or bakers kneading dough from Amber Potatoes beside glowing hearths. Others stumble into purpose, gravediggers, ditch-haulers, rat-catchers, some trades may be less glamorous, or safe, than others but essential one-and-all in a realm that prizes survival over sentiment. Beyond city walls and croplands, the professions turn rougher. Treasure hunters chase legends through ruin-strewn forests, risking life and limb for forgotten gold. Scavengers scurry through ancient battlefields, trading relics and rust for bread. Beast-callers tame the wilds, plying strange whistles and scars alike. Some brave the depths as tunnel-clearers or cave-haunters, hunting minerals or secrets in the dark. Even the clown has a place in Everwealth, court Jesters and festival fools whose riddles carry truths sharper than any sword. Whether highborn or low, every profession in Everwealth is a story in motion, a gamble with the world, and often, a wager with death.
