"Life can be a rancid, disgustin' thing sometimes. Grim reminders of that most everywhere you look... but hey... least the circus is in town." - Unknown
Everwealth's sky will be thick with ash for many centuries to come, one-in-three children will not live to see the age of ten, armies of Elfs march towards Everwealth bent on it's destruction; Unrelated instances on their own yet with one thing in common, all of these things are true. Despite however much we may prefer the opposite, unfortunately sometimes reality is cruelly unforgiving, and we will be helpless to do anything about it. Though if one does not find themself too jaded from Everwealth life to look, there are some truths which aren't so terrible buried beneath the suffering; Recently discovered schematics could see locomotives resurrected within the next decade, revolutionizing trade and travel compared to modern day horse-drawn carriages, if not at least treating the last patchworked together steam engines to desperately needed repairs. Gunpowder becoming ever-scarce by the day has seen battlefield casualties plummet drastically in-turn. If you are intent on robbing the local bank, so many guards being called to war means the remaining few are far less-likely to be able to stop you. Truth is an infallible thing, without bias or remorse, and Everwealth is rife with fortunate and unfortunate truths alke.
