"You eat what the forest gives, or you don’t eat at all."
Though most of Everwealth’s wilderness is more fatal than fertile, the flora of The Forager’s Feast keep both commoners and bandits alive in the deep places where no market reaches. Few would turn down a ripe Frenzy Fruit, bulbous and pink-fleshed, known for its cloying sweetness and the racing pulse it brings moments after consumption. It’s a favorite among wandering mercenaries who need a jolt of stamina, or beggars who wish to forget the cold. More subdued but no less essential are Shadeberries, small, near-black fruits that thrive in dim groves and fog-choked thickets. Safe when plucked at full bloom, deadly if unripe, they’re either a humble dessert or a choking poison. Scavenged by the desperate and hoarded by trappers, these plants don’t dazzle the alchemists, but they fill bellies and buy time, and in Everwealth, time is its own sort of Spellcraft.
