The Collective over the Individual

"The wheel turns only when every spoke holds strong."

In Everwealth, the needs of the many outweigh the desires of the few, a lesson learned painfully during the Schism when survival depended on unity between close friends and sworn enemies alike. While personal achievements are celebrated, the collective good always takes precedence, especially in times of strife. Villages rally together to rebuild homes, share food during famine, or hunt dangerous beasts threatening their borders. Those who hoard wealth or refuse to aid their community are viewed as pariahs, their selfishness seen as a threat to the fragile balance that sustains them all. The phrase, "A hand that does not help is a hand that turns to ash," reflects the harsh judgment faced by those who refuse to contribute. Many Everwealthy kings have learned this lesson firsthand.
