Distillation: Making End's Meet.
"If you want to see a man set himself on fire, watch an amateur distiller at work."
Distillation is the process of purifying and concentrating an ingredient’s essence through heat and condensation. It is the method by which weak concoctions become powerful, where subtle magick becomes raw energy. The process requires specialized equipment, alembics, condensers, precise temperature control, and more. It is most often used to create concentrated tonics, pure elixirs, and highly volatile solutions such as incendiary oils or stimulants. The difference between a skilled distiller and a fool with a still is often the difference between a masterpiece and a crater. Unlike brewing, which coaxes essence slowly, distillation forces the desired properties out through pressure and heat. This makes it far more dangerous, but also far more rewarding. A single vial of well-distilled extract can carry the power of an entire cauldron’s worth of potion. But one misstep, a single degree too hot, a single second too long, and the whole process ends in ruin.
