Velian Emissary Arrives at Black-Eye

Unsurprised to see some sort of reaction to their landing in Velian territories, Black-Eye prepared for assault when they saw a Velian banner cresting a hill near the fort.

A Velian Noble approaches the fortress and asks to speak directly to the Princess. Baffled as to how she knows about the invasion, let alone that it is being led by a princess, Pearl allows her an audience, but alone. Exactly what is said in the meeting is mostly a mystery, but the Noble seemed to be supporting the invasion with espionage, which is the reason the empire found no resistance when they landed, and for the fact that Velia still didn't know of the imperial presence.
