The People's Republic of Hevette
Outraged at the injustice of the Empire of Lowvire and their descrimination against non-humans, the people rebelled. First locally, but as word of their minor successed spread, the effects grew until there was a catastrophic chain-reaction of political anarchy in the eastern sovereignty of Belethia. The Lowvires lost the most territory they ever had from any source, and thus formed the People's Republic of Hevette. As a result, they also started a war.
A war they obviously weren't going to win.
The hevettans fought valliantly, but they didn't have the military order and tact that the Lowvires did, they only knew guerilla tactics and were led by green rulers and commanders. Despite this, they managed to slow the re-growth of the Lowvires significantly and managed, after a long time of warring, retreat and ambush, organize a ceasefire with the Lowvires.
Structure
The Rebublic is headed by a Presider who employs a council from among their own court who assist them in governing and rulership. In an attempt to avoid the one-man tyrrany and monarchic structure that led to the Lowvire's ruthlessness, the Presider's actions can be overruled if a majority of their council agrees that their ruling shouldn't go through.
Similarly, the Presider is decided through election instead of being hereditary.
