Wildfey
Wildfey are tiny fey creatures commonly (and incorrectly) referred to as pixies or sprites. They live in the Material Plane and are native to the forests and mountains of and around Lancaster. Wildfey resemble miniature humans between nine and twelve inches tall with the addition of insect wings on their backs. These wings are variable from fey to fey and are not necessarily the same type as either parent. Wildfey tradition holds that the type of wings growing on a baby will determine their personality, such as a locust being greedy or a butterfly being delicate. The Wildfey similarly seem to develop all of their physical traits randomly, the only known condition is that they are limited to human colorations.
The Wildfey are proud citizens of Lancaster and have been working with the Tegdylun since the humans first migrated to the material plane. Many settlements in Lancaster have miniature versions of buildings next to them specifically for the Wildfey to use.
As a whole, they tend to be impulsive and easily distracted, especially by food. Wildfey are capable of eating up to four times their bodyweight at a time and do not appear to be capable of actually becoming fat. They do everything, including speak, quickly. Their wings are deceptively powerful, as they are capable of flying flawlessly in full plate armor.
In recent years they have been increasingly employed by the Legion to work as counters to more skilled aeronauts that utilize mounts such as griffons or drakes. Bands of Wildfey swarm enemies dozens at a time, inflicting hundreds of light wounds before moving on to their next target. They often employ ravens and corgis as mounts. Due to their close relationship with magic, many join the Mage's Guild where they are popular assistants to full wizards for their enthusiasm and ability to write extraordinarily quickly.
Wildfey that contract lycanthropy always develop into weremice and retain their miniature size.
