Thunderhead Division

Thunderhead Division is an elite formation of shock troopers for the Confederacy. They are known to be brutal, efficient, and cover ground faster than any other infantry unit on the continent. Thunderhead Division is well known to have a standing policy of giving no quarter under any circumstances. In the very few conflicts they have been involved with since their formation, the reputation of Thunderhead has caused a few enemies of The Confederacy to surrender rather than risk fighting them. It is the only primary Confederate force to allow men to serve.

Composition

Manpower

Thunderhead division counts thirty thousand soldiers among them, and have dedicated advance scouts and supply brigades numbering some fifty thousand.

Equipment

Thunderhead soldiers are equipped with light rations and almost no equipment standard to other military units. Instead, it relies entirely on a heavily mobile supply chain to catch up with them, allowing them to move farther than other infantry with less weight to lug around. In addition to their armor, they wear canvas gas masks and thick cloth sleeves to protect their skin from gas attacks.

Weaponry

Thunderhead Division are trained primarily in the use of a front-weighted sickle called a khopesh. They each carry a pair of kukri knives, a bandolier of grenados, and war slings. The infantry core of Thunderhead Division wear reinforced leather armor lined with three-sided steel spikes. Their shields are similarly armed.    The artillery of Thunderhead Division utilize mobile arcane cannons which they use to flood the battlefield with enchanted gas bombs- deadly spells caused to spread over a wide area and do as much damage as possible.

Vehicles

Reliant on impeccable timing, Thunderhead's supply chain forces utilize swift Confederate quarterhorses to cover short distances with incredible speed. Occasionally, Thunderhead operatives are given folding boats, but these are in very short supply.
