The Time Grounds
The seat of power of The Seasonaland the first and last of the divine moons to come into existence, the Time Grounds appears in mortal skies as Resplendus, an enormous empty ball of glass that is difficult to see save where it reflects the light of other celestial bodies. Within the Time Grounds, an endless mountain stretches ever-onward where the souls of monks may peacefully live out eternity. Beyond the mountain, a throne of hourglasses sits beneath a great clock and titanic sundial. Here the Seasonal sits to witness the eons in the Mirrors of Infinity, which shows all things that were and will be and would drive any mortal mad to behold for even a moment. When time is corrupted in some way, the Seasonal brings it to his realm as 'unstable instants' which can cause the ground level of the plane to be chaotic and unpredicatable, with creatures aging backwards or souls stuck in loops or paradoxical realities playing out in a single space. This is why the Seasonal favors monks and collects their souls for his mountain of stability, that the resulting law should balance out the chaos and leave him as a truly neutral entity.
