The Isle of Ghosts

In the River Kingdoms, ghosts appear with greater frequency than anywhere else on the planet, and they alter the world wherever they gather. One of the most famous such places is the Isle of Ghosts, a floating island made of sunken ship parts that are held together seemingly by the will of the destroyed ship's Animuses. This island sinks beneath the rivers and resurfaces seemingly at random, each time with more mass added to it's ever-evolving form. The island is perpetually haunted by the ghosts of drowned sailors and the distraught spirits of the ships that make up it's bulk.
The island is rumored to come to those in great mourning in hopes of reuniting the drowned with loved ones, giving them the opportunity to move on. Other stories tell of silent mystics that live forever on the wooden isle, tending to the wounded spirits. Pirates and sailors have spun no end of tales of the Isle of Ghosts. All that is known for a certainty is that it is never in the same place twice, and the ghosts that haunt it harbor some hatred towards the living. It is confirmed to be a port of call for certain ghost ships, including the Thunder's Daughter.
