The Glass Gate

The Glass Gate is a fortress protecting the southern reaches of Vigilance. It is so named for the spiraling patterns of unbreakable glass left in the sand, connected to the fortress itself, which is in turn made mostly of the same material.

Purpose / Function

To protect the southern approach to Vigilance.

History

The Glass Gate predates the arrival of Elves on Illiria, and no one is quite certain who built it, or why, or what the material it is made out of really is. It has changed hands hundreds of times, with at least two wars fought over ownership of the fortress itself.
