The Forbidden City
While most of Triumph is build in a chaotic style, utilizing parts both conquered and built over countless ages, The Forbidden City was the loving construction of the original Skaldorans, a tribute to the Fujiyaman sensibility of architecture. It has housed the Royal Family since the very first days of the Empire.
Demographics
The majority of inhabitants of the Forbidden City are actually Rivaen, Imperial Elves, who serve the Skaldoran high lords housed within, those endless branches of the family line of Skaldor.
Government
The Forbidden City is ruled separately than the rest of Triumph. The First Keeper is selected by the King himself to see to the governance and affairs of the district, and is almost always a favored servant chosen for the role rather than a royal cousin as might be expected.
Infrastructure
The streets of the Forbidden City are wide enough that a fully grown Dragon Lord could walk in the streets with room to spread his wings. They are made of cobblestones, and tunnels often connect one side of the street to the other for pedestrian traffic. Rickshaws are common sights, as are exotic mounts and businesses to care for them. There is no flying allowed in the Forbidden City, save on direct Imperial business, so more enterprising souls import the latest in vehicular technology.
