Gronguln, the Horn of Goblinkind
The Horn of Goblinkind is one of the Artifacts of Skaldor, forged for the hordes of the conqueror in the madfires of Wumbakgh. When the horn is blown, it temporarily infuses nearby Goblins with the primal spirit of their dark mother, twisting them into stronger and faster Goblins with a nearly unmanageable lust for violence and destruction. While these primal Goblins cannot be truly controlled, they can be directed by the bearer of the horn. During the Sylvan War, Skaldor used this to destroy settlements along his path of war, negating the need to capture and occupy out of the way areas. Many of these settlements were burned to the ground and its people captured or eaten, some surviving Elves have nightmares about Goblinoid shock troops to this day. The primal Goblins were less useful on the battlefield, as in a blood frenzy were just as likely to attack allies as they were enemies, though it did occasionally happen. Many Goblins ended up taking the field on the side of the Elves, for fear of what might happen if Skaldor ascended to the throne, essentially worried about becoming enslaved mindless beasts bred only to fight the battles a future Empire would not wish to commit human troops to. This artifact was created by Attinae herself as a means to bring Wumbakgh closer to the Material Plane.
