Flaming Rock is a member of the Thousand Blades, generally tasked with patrolling The Arid for unusual happenings, especially ancient threats from forgotten civilizations. He is the 83rd incarnation of Flaming Rock.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
A hundred years of dangerous expeditions has left Flaming Rock with an athlete's build. He is agile and fit, despite choosing to appear as someone in their early 50's.
Identifying Characteristics
As a result of his Salamander bloodline mutation, Flaming Rock has natural tattoos that glow red along his arms and legs, and has black scale-like growths around his eyes and down his spine.
Special abilities
The sword Flaming Rock grants it's master the ability to conjure small projectiles, that are of course flaming rocks. As a result of his bloodline mutation, the samurai Flaming Rock has the power to superheat his own body and has a supernatural understanding of magic items and how to make them.
Apparel & Accessories
Flaming Rock most often wears the Blades uniform, a black silk shirt under a read sash bearing the Imperial dragon seal in gold. He wears a red Amazwean veil over his mouth and nose, a beige hood, and silk wrappings around his hands and feet.
Specialized Equipment
Flaming Rock has taken to the traditional Blades armor, ō-yoroi armor enchanted to be resistant to damage, though only wears it when actually delving into a ruin. He carries a bandolier of magic potions and scrolls, and a bag of holding carrying standard dungeoneering equipment. The sword Flaming Rock is in itself a Blades katana, though it can transform into a flambard or a boomerang. On his personal small sandship, the Sand Beetle, he keeps a miniature forge and an alchemist's lab.

Personal history
Omar Nazari was born to the Sultan of Amazwe in 1304. As the youngest son, he was sent to the Imperial Court at Triumph to be a ward of the Crown, and personally witnessed the murder of Emperor Chen II when he was only nine years old. Following that trauma and the ascension of Empress Yang III, he was sent back to Amazwe, where he began training as a warrior to one day take on the role of his eldest brother's bodyguard. In 1320, he was called back to the capital by Empress Yang and offered a position in the household guard, where he befriended the Blade Immortal and eventually was given the Blade Flaming Rock in 1334, during the reign of Richard V.

Flaming Rock is known to take lovers of all genders between expeditions into ancient ruins, and has even developed a reputation for having no particular tastes in the brothels of Vigilance.
Education
While never completed, Flaming Rock was given traditional noble education as a child, and attended some courses on archeology and occult history at The University, but never gained the title Scholar. Still, his knowlege of ancient Arid civilizations is unrivaled due to his frequent delving into old ruins and personal studies.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Flaming Rock has published Mastery of the Unseen, a description of the various ruins of the Arid and the civilizations they might have belonged to. It was briefly part of the Library List.

Flaming Rock believes that all people are deserving of life and second chances, and refuses to take a life when the option is there.

Despite being a member of the royal family of Amazwe, Flaming Rock takes his oath as a Blade very seriously, and considers those ties gone so long as he serves the Empire.

A devout follower of The Worldspyre, Flaming Rock believes strongly that no mystery will remain unsolved forever, and that it is his sacred duty to uncover the secrets of the past for all to learn of. He is technically a priest of Eldreon, but rarely preaches.
Wealth & Financial state
Flaming Rock maintains a residence in Vigilance and employs a few household servants to maintain the place, as well as the attached wing that is a public museum of his discoveries. He owns a fortune in rare artifacts, but spends a majority of his stipend on brothels and drinking when he is between expeditions. He even owns a few permanently reserved rooms in upscale brothels around The Arid.
