Summary
Since the rise of the first Shadowed One, a rhyme has since been spread throughout the world of Evalire. It serves as a warning and tells the tale of the original rise and fall of the first Shadowed One. At this time it is seen as nothing more than a childs nursery rhyme, however there are some races that are older and wiser than others that know that all tales and myths are steeped in truth and no matter how much it has been simplified or broken down, those who fail to heed the warnings of the past are doomed to repeat its mistakes in the future.
Historical Basis
After the events of the first Shadowed One, the races of the world got together and their bards constructed this song as a warning to all future generations. They constructed it in such a way that even children would be able to remember it.
I like this song, especially the idea that bards specifically composed it as a warning to future generations. Is there a game that goes along with it, the way there is with our world's "Ring Around the Rosy", to make it even more memorable?
I hadn’t given too much thought to the game aspect of it. I based the song off of the “ring around the Rosie” since the Shadowed One is essentially a plague on the world. But I will have to give it some real thought to try and think of a good game style practice to go with the song.
