the great canal sepereats the deserts of southern continent to the rest of the twin sultanates.

Defences

the two fortresses which straddle either side of the canal were made 600YBCW. there walls are smooth making it hard to scale. battlements man massive cannons and there are firing holes for the garrison. the walls out side the fortress are surrounded by mots in which crocodile live.

Infrastructure

the canal has to massive fortresses which straddle the entrance to the canal. they each hold a port which are used to ferry people and supplys from each part of the canal.

Assets

the fortresses on either side of the canal have massive stores of food and other supply in order to keep the garrison supplied and so that army moving west can pick up supply
