The demon of Hambleton

The party got involved in a towns secret problem and tried to help.

After heading north for a few days the party stopped off in the town of Hambleton, in which they found the towns people acting suspicious they inquired with the tavern owner. He then filled them in on the disappearances that have be occurring in and around the town. Time was then spent investigating with it looking like bandits taking these people, but the detail of no missing valuables lead elsewhere. With this information they went to the mayor with the finding and got no help. Later that night while sleeping they were ambushed by town guards a skirmish ensued after which the party was rendered unconscious and taken captive.   Once they all woke up they formulated and excited a plan to escape. Free of the cage they found themselves in the mayors manor finally able to get strait answers found the mayor had made a deal with a devil. This deal put the souls of Hambleton as collateral against monthly sacrifices, so long as these sacrifices continue the town will remain prosperous.
