The Eldrazi are abandoned
ExtinctionThe Gods abandon the Eldrazi, as Azrael had just created the first minds. Azrael, however, foresaw this happening and sought to protect the beautiful creatures he had worked so hard on. He hid the Eldrazi away where they thrived and eventually developed minds and mentalities. Azrael would go on to grant these Eldrazi the titles of "Lesser Gods" when the Mortals wished for new Gods to govern their existence.

The world developed on its own, finally producing a number of intelligent races with which the Gods interacted to a minimal scale, in accordance with the previous contract. These races began to dream up the existence of new Gods, a prayer they Primary Gods answered, creating a new race of Lesser Gods.
