The Criminal Underworld in Valdra is a spiderweb of complicated deals and agreements that tie together a number of nigh untraceable selfish organisations, each in a fight for power, an invisible struggle beneath the cities that balances the livelihoods of all the innocents above on pillars of salt and sand. Honour among thieves was always a superficial saying, just as its meaning is to those organisations who “abide” by it. One wrong move and the unseen war could wreak havoc on an Imperial scale, endangering countless lives; yet the situation cannot be ignored forever. Will an end ever be put to this threat, or will those who try set off a chain of events that could lead to the downfall of the Valdarian Empire and as a whole.
