What World will you be working on?
You know, we've given it a lot of thought. And I think we are going to go with a risky option!
Just kidding, we doin' Ethnis of course! We have found all sorts of topics to try out every year, and never had we had to move away from Ethnis.
What's the goal?
Both of us will be aiming for the full thirty one! Every prompt will be done twice. Go big or go home for us!
And if you are looking for inspiration on your own sheet, you can check out our sheet for 2020 here!
When will we write?
As we did last year, we will be getting our Summercamp done in fun-filled bursts of inspiration and insanity.
We have three streams so far on our schedule, one for each of the prompt release dates. On those streams we will be doing our writing sprints in which everyone is welcome to join in on!
Who is in your support network?
We have a fantastic community at our backs, both within World Anvil and within Ethnis. We'll be leaning on them for the energy we need to get this done. And we hope we'll give some of that energy right back.
We'll be sharing our stuff on twitter, and working with Oscar (Hiive, our artist) to make some absolutely jaw-dropping work to inspire!
Which Areas will you be focusing on?
We have two worlds in mind and unlike last year, we are going to allow ourselves to write topics about either of these worlds. We think this'll keep us motivated and prevent us from getting stumped!
There were several planets we fleshd out, we chose one, and we let our patreons choose the other.
Saumai is a haunted world that you've been unable to find on any star charts. Your only lead is the lunatic ravings of the deranged, drunken man washed up at a dive bar several stops away from where he claims the hidden Waypoint to Saumai is.
He claims he landed in the surface to find a dying world shrouded in storms and ever assailed by hordes of phantoms and repulsive abominations whose numbers grow with each death and tragedy. Safe cities are few, and hidden behind thick walls crisscrossed with live, bare electrical wire.
Be wary. You're not the only one on the trail. Saumai might be worth a lot to the right folks, and is the destination of prospectors and treasure hunters.
When the Wayhalls closed at the end of the expansion, entire fleets of ships were lost in an instant. Most were destroyed by the collapse of the Hall, but some continued to navigate it, surviving by scavenging and salvaging other vessels.
Many of these ships and stations were fused to share systems and fuel, and so the Junkbergs were made. Some survived even into the modern era and now float through the Inter-Banner waters of the Wayhall, wary of all others but willing to trade, house, and outfit in return for supplies and mutual protection.
If you want to do business where the Banners are less likely to nose-in, these drifting city-states are a good place to start.
We pledge to write thirty-one articles focused on two Ethnis locations: planet Saumai or Junkberg Bermuda.
