Skin Walking Spell in Ethnis | World Anvil

Skin Walking

Skin Walking is a Monolithic ability exclusive to Agility Monoliths.   If a skin walker can mimic the way you are holding your body for a moment, then there's a chance that they can take control of it and puppet it as their own for a short time.   Preventions:   This cannot be done to a target without a soul.   Strength is a factor. If their muscle resists your own, it is against your strength   Rule: The monolith may take this action as an ability following any successful opposed Agility check. Each rank of success is a rank of Mesmer on the Target. If they succumb to Mesmer, then the Monolith takes control   Any physical effects on the target are still in effect.   In this form, the monolith is immune to being knocked unconscious. The host is already unconscious. Tyler — 08/26/2022 3:42 PM That seems spooky. Jacklyn — 08/26/2022 3:53 PM Yeah. Very hard to execute but a cool ability to have... or a very interesting assassin to fight. jhoutaioan faith idolizes stories as part of the wheel, believing there's a fate to stories, a trajectory they aim to take. At the depths of the intersection of their faith and the Sorrows infiltration, you have people like Vess, whose leadership is uncertain but thought to be someone very high within the pact -- an empress or goddess. Vess believes it's from Eupha herself.   Life is a story, it's building towards something.   Popular Cannibalist/Chaoist/Siosyan response: 'Then where is the pen?'   Not who holds it, but where is it.   The wheel itself is the afterlife of all the monoliths. Cannibal is the filter. A virgil/chiron figure who has an opportunity to speak to every monolith after they die. (speculative canon here, playing with ideas) and who is sometimes spiteful of the fact that the world thought it could do better without him but is still cruel
