Energetic, cheerful, outgoing, playful, athletic, and something of a prankster at times, Aedan is more clever than one thinks, and contrary to jock stereotype, does not mind reading, enjoys videogames, and is fine with other 'nerdy' activities.
While quite protective of his family, Aedan knows that they can take care of themselves and generally keeps himself from smothering them.
Aedan also enjoys personal challenges, and prefers to keep as many of his natural limitations and drawbacks as he can without taking unnecessary risk, preferring to endure and overcome them on his own, rather than resort to augmentations, potions, foci, or spells to fix everything for him.
However, he is also very stubborn, injury-prone, and tends to ignore his body's complaints until it starts straining even his very high tolerance levels. As such, Aedan's had to have mandated health checks, as otherwise issues tend to be unaddressed until they get needlessly complicated.
Often, moderately sedating him is the only way to get Aedan to rest for any prolonged period of time.

Had his heart replaced with a superior, reinforced artificial version, because he'd been born with heart defects that nearly killed him in early adulthood (the exact problem had remained hidden until it was almost too late).
