Prepare for the journey

Ok, let’s do this. Years of hard work have prepared me for this quest. But before I go, I should gather basic supplies since I’ve no idea how long this journey might take.
From the blacksmith shop, I take a sword and sharp knife. Better be ready for whatever lurks out there.
The farmers give me some fruit and vegetables. They’ll last for a couple of days, after that I’ll be on my own and have to gather berries and hunt in the forest.
And lastly, the shepherd is kind enough to lend me a big cloak. That should keep me warm at night.
Summoning all my strength and courage, I step outside the village.
