Ranabanne

Easily the most common of the Amphibanne are the Ranabanne. This race can be found across most of southern Eveynjar and even as far north as Indeljar, though they are still fairly rare outside of the Isles of Zuraor.

Appearance-wise the Ranabanne are humanoids with the characteristics of frogs, making them similar to the Multiverse's Grung, Grippli, and Bullywugs, though much more civilized.

The Ranabanne are known for their ability to communicate over vast distances and their immunity to magics that take advantage of noise or the lack of it.

Thunderous Voice

Ranabanne possess unique voice boxes that allow them to expand a throat sac(s) that allows them to create much louder sounds than normal races, allowing them to be heard over a mile away from their actual location, making them great as lookouts, sentries, singers, and even bards. Due to this trait, Ranabanne can't be deafened.

Additionally, the Ranabanne can use this unique feature as a sound weapon up close. As an action, Ranabanne can begin a loud call that causes all targets within 30 ft. to make a Fortitude saving throw (DC = 8 + your Fortitude modifier). On a fail, the target takes 2d6 sonic damage and is deafened for 1 minute. On a success, the target takes half damage and isn't deafened. A target that is immune to the deafened condition, is deaf, or attempts to cover their ears is immune to this ability.
