Huei Māitzquiā Furstock

The largest of the Panthranis, the Huei Māitzquiā are the furstock of the Panthranis that resemble Tigers, with massive frames, powerful paws, and a propensity for life around water. Due to their overbearing appearances, some are mistakenly called Rakshasa, a type of fiend that often make their forms from tigers. Despite their appearance, however, they are often gentle souls that care more about preserving the land around them rather than burning everything in sight, a trait more often seen in the Giant Kin, such as the Jondai or Sondai.

Large in Stature

Unlike the rest of their kin, the Huei Māitzquiā can reach sizes of 8-9 ft and weigh up to 525 lbs, making their size Large. As a consequence to this, you hit dice are d10s instead of d8s, and you gain 8 hit points per level increase instead of 6.

Heavy Handed

Your hands are considered lethal weapons even if you are not a monk. On hit, they deal slashing damage equal to 2d6 + your Strength modifier. On a critical hit, this also causes the target to bleed for 1 minute, as long as that target isn't immune to such effects.

Bleed Condition. The target takes 1d4 necrotic damage at the end of their turn and the beginning of the round for the duration. Can be ended early on a successful medicine check.

  • While underwater, the duration of the bleed is tripled and it deals 2d4 necrotic damage instead of 1d4.
  • The bleed can increase in severity if the target is already bleeding, increasing the necrotic damage by 1d4.

Additionally, you have disadvantage on checks to hold onto items or to manipulate objects due to your large hands. This does not count towards grapples.

At One with the Jungle

Due to their appearance to Tigers, most creatures native to jungles see Huei Māitzquiā as more trouble than they are worth. As long as that creature has a CR lower than half your vocation level, it will prefer other targets or leave you alone.
