Vazar Empire

Along the eastern coast of the main continent is the domain of the seafaring human empire of Vazar. When it comes to shipbuilding the Vazar have no equal and use their naval prowess for trade and travel. 
The ruler-ship of this country has been passed down to hereditary heirs for well over a millennium. They are by far the oldest nation of Anazar and at one time ruled over the entire continent.

History

The empire traces its origins to Sabaf Vazar uniting all of Anazar to drive the planar beings off of the mortal realm. Afterwards he assumed the throne and continued to rule over the continent to a degree. Upon his death the continent was thrown into chaos and The War of Sovereignty erupted between his sons. Ultimately his grandson took over the throne but not before the elves of Silvenore had separated and secluded themselves in the forests. 
For the next 700 years the empire flourished and many new settlements were created in the wake of the planar war. While rebellions did happen during this time, the Echaran Rebellion set off the first broad civil war leading directly or indirectly to the formation of the other current nations.
