The Prime Casters
The Order of Prime Magic Casters for the betterment Anazar and its inhabitants, better known as The Prime Casters, was a somewhat controversial and ancient guild of mages. Their magic was officially outlawed by Sabaf Vazar himself in 30 VD and decreed any and all references to them, their research and magic be destroyed. Practitioners and high ranking officals were tried and hanged shortly thereafter.
History
The first known references to the group appear during the Second Planar War where they appear to be an elite group of wizards specializing in trapping or banishing extraplanar beings. Vazar was known to be friends with several members of the group even touting them as the best and most reliable spell casters just years before ordering they be vanquished. Indeed most surviving texts of the group have nothing but praise for them.
Disbandment
Surviving documents would suggest that this group's magic became seen as heretical. Most of their documents were burned along with the knowledge of spells they had accumulated. It is assumed some sort of foul magic or secret about them was discovered that led to their sudden reversal in public appeal.
