Session 18 - The Grimtol Misdirection

General Summary

The team started off facing 2 problems, a dragon cult looking outside the marshes for troublemakers, and the Grimtol caravan due to come to Konigsberg. They began working on starting to set the stage that the dwarves attacked the kobold mound and then after a brief respite at Konigsberg, they set out to find the caravan and intercept it.
While travelling 4 wyverns spotted half the party and decided to make a quick meal. While they did manage to injure Yog and Khajit they were no match for the entire team. One attempted to flee unsuccessfully while the others were ultimately slaughtered. Kylar and IG-88 were able to harvest some of the potent poison sacs that the beasts had before moving on to find the caravan.
They came upon a loud encampment of dwarves and their wagons. The plan was to pretend to be Ryphol's followers and lizardfolk and threaten the caravan into submission. Khajit provided an illusion of another Wyvern, IG-88 propped up a wyvern corpse, Kylar used the brooch from the Erinyes to make himself look like a lizardfolk, and Yog.... Yog just looked mean. While they were able to pull off the ruse that they were in fact followers of Ryphol, there were a couple problems, namely that they had never heard of the dragon and there were 20 of them and from what they could see only 3 combantants and a couple wyvern.
After the Dwarves laughed off the threats issued by Kylar, IG-88 decided to get the party started with some fireballs. Yog flew over to the leader and nearly defeated him while dodging dozens of attacks thanks to her cloak. 2 additional fireballs later and the dwarven ranks were broken with Kylar ensuring that at least one of them knew the name Ryphol and who to blame. The fireballs did burn up some of the wagons (and the oxen to pull them) they still managed to cart away 4 of them, one full of dwarven ale that was under lock. They set about back to the mine to set a scene of dwarven involvement at the mound. Looming in the sky was Ryphol closer than before but not heading towards them.
