Legios
Origin
Not long after the birth of the world & the creation of its first peoples there lived an Orc named Legios, one day after being beaten down & injured by a stronger rival know as Ro-Kar he prayed to Palleta begging for one thing, Power. Palleta answered his prayer, creating a vortex of power within the foolhardy orc which gathered power leftover from creation, from Eternus itself, power falling from the great god Sol & power flowing through the cosmos all within the single soul of Legios, Legios' soul exploded & shattered shaking & rending the land of the orcs & unleashing magical curses wherever the pieces of his soul settled.
The few Orcs who survived the great disaster unscathed fled across the ocean or died fighting the nightmare creatures unleashed across their former lands, many more were transformed into crazed monstrous beings by the rampant curses, & the pieces of Legios' soul began reforming into new beings, creating new forms with their power, the first of the race of Devils and Demons upon Eternus.
As time passed & the vessels started to understand some of what had happened to them they began to compete with one another, consuming or shattering their rival vessels of Legios' soul, as the rest of the world came to understand what had happened, through seers, prophecy & encounters with some of the stronger vessels, the Devils became known as the Legion, cursed remnants of Legios and a blight upon the world.
Eventually there came a time when one devil became stronger than any other & attempted to rule over all, only to be destroyed by an alliance of other powerful Devils, many times after that one devil tried to become master over all others, at the center of the realm of devils a palace & throne were built, but no devil was able to rule without being swiftly destroyed by an alliance of their rivals, & so a time came when the throne was left empty & though many plotted to become the sole holder of Legios' power none of the strong dared to sit upon it, though some puppets were at times forced to do so.
The Deal
One of the Vessels of Legios's Soul once made a deal with the being known as Gerki, in exchange for Gerki doubling the power of the Vessel he agreed to collect souls to gift to Gerki until Gerki had gained power from those gifts equal to his own full power as it was after Gerki had fulfilled his side of the bargain.
Gerki doubled the power residing within the vessel, & every single part of Legios was bound to collect souls to gift to Gerki until Gerki had gained power equal to the full might of all the Legion as it was at that moment.

Ro-Kar wholeheartedly believes Legios' power is worthless & considers Legios incredibly weak of spirit to have ever prayed for it, he made sure the Orcs knew the proverb well & led them with a perfect example of how they should be instead, giving many of Legion's shattered plentiful reasons to hate him.
