Burnace Stone
Burnace Stones are commonly found in Èfrithel forges and in places where magical flame combat training takes place. It is created when naturally flame attuned magic makes contact with the Sulfur and Volcanic Ash embedded in most of the igneous wasteland of the lowest level. When found in forges, it comes from the mixed grit used to keep superheated metal implements at set temperatures. These stones are found all over the floors but are most commonly eaten tasty treats. They're often used as a topping or eaten plain like nuts. They have a pleasant crunch and spice, as the individual stratums fall apart like limestone.
Because they are fairly easy to make, they have found their way in to many other elements of common day life. The more beautiful stones are put in to jewlery or kept as delicate baubles. Handfuls are gathered and put in to Wyrmscale pouches, becoming handwarmers for pockets, or the larger ones even finding their way into goosefeather beds during colder nights.
Èfrithel children of all races play Coreshot with them, a game much like marbles. However the goal is to make them explode, shattering the outside webbing to reveal the exquisite red cores. The winners are the ones with the most red cores, the biggest red core, the smallest, and the most beautiful. The cores themselves then become Shooters, used to break other Burnace stones in the game. Well loved Shooters become worn completely spherical and smooth over time, and it's only an master or a fool who wagers their favorite on a game.

Properties
Material Characteristics
These small stones are craggy and spherical, giving them an almost peppered look. However, their colors show that it's of a much more firey origin. It feels dusty, almost like its covered in iron flakes of miniscule proportions, rusty and reminding the onlooker of its likely hellish origins. The cratered outside shows it's all held together with thin rock tendrils stemming to the bright red core within.
You can see the earth's most fire-borne properties in bands throughout these stones, and some of them are simply pretty enough to keep as pendant inserts or pretty baubles for an office shelf.
