Web
Cover an area with webs slowing or even stopping the movement of anyone crossing it. Webs are much like those created by the largest of spiders, thick and sticky. The best way to escape them is through the use of fire.
Effect
For 6 mana points, web creates a many-layered mass of strong, sticky strands. These strands trap those caught in them. The strands must be anchored to two or more solid, opposing points, (floor to ceiling, opposite walls, etc..), or else the web collapses and disappears. Touching or entering the area of the webs will cause the creature to get stuck (Reflex save to avoid). Creatures stuck in the web suffer a -2 penalty on attack rolls, a -4 penalty to Dexterity, and can't move. Any attempts to cast a spell requires a Concentration check (DC 15) or lose the spell.
Anyone in the area of effect who makes their reflex save is free to move, though moving will be difficult. A stuck creature can break loose by spending one round and succeeding at a strength check (DC 20) or an escape artist check (DC 25). Once loose a creature may progress through the web very slowly. Each round devoted to moving allows the creature to make a new strength or escape artist check. The creature moves 5 feet for each full 5 points by which the check result exceeds 10.
