Hold Creature

The subject freezes in place, standing helpless. The subject is aware and breathes normally but cannot take any physical actions, even speech. The subject can, however, execute purely mental actions.

A winged creature who is held cannot flap its wings and falls. A swimmer can't swim and may drown.

Effect

Nature:

Expending 6 mana points: You are only able to affect animals. Hold creature does not work on beasts, magical beasts, or vermin for you. The HD of the creature can not be more than double your own. There is no material component for you.

 

Arcane and Divine:

Expending 6 mana points: You are only able to affect humanoid creatures of medium or smaller size. The HD of the creature can not be more than double your own. Divine casters use their divine focus, arcane casters require the material component of (A small, straight piece of iron)

 

Expending 30 mana points: You are now able to target any creature of any type. The HD of the creature can not be more than double your own. Divine casters use their divine focus, arcane casters require the material component of (A small, straight piece of iron)
