Kalmani
Kalmani is a nation in central Allethra, formed when the city of Altalerno seceeded from the nation of Allesend. Made up of the region east of the Nancona Rill, Kalmani is ruled by a council of wealthy nobles who dictate trade throughout the country.
After the Drow invaded Allesar, they cut off trade via the Nancona Rill. Starved for supplies, the leaders of Altalerno tried to convince Allesend's provincial government to sue for peace with Lómëdor. When nothing came of their demands, Altalerno declared itself a new nation, recognizing Lómëdor's sovereignty and reestablishing trade via their major waterway. Already stretched thin, there was little Allesend could do to retain its territory; however, Allesend maintains that Kalmani is not an independent nation.
