Daripur
Daripur is a sprawling metropolis located on the northwestern coast of Allethra. It is the capital of Hiladhel, the home to the Council of Princes, and is the largest city on the continent, covering about five miles of coastline and up to two miles inland. Despite issues of overcrowding, the population of the city continues to grow at extreme rates, to the worry of some civil engineers who caution that Daripur's infrastructure is already close to capacity.
Daripur is the largest port city in Allethra, and much of the continent's goods enter or leave through its docks. Large numbers of immigrants have made their home in Daripur, forming microcommunities within the greater melting pot of the city's cultures.
Eshad University, almost a city unto itself, makes its home close to the center of the city. Its higher education and magical research departments outshine that of Chalice University in Bronzehall, but its broader adventuring classes are not as popular as Chalice's.

If it exists, it's traded in Daripur. Every imaginable good, legal or otherwise, has a home in Daripur.
Within Daripur, the entertainment industry is by far the most important. From taverns to pleasure barges, hookah lounges to casinos, Daripur is ready to serve the needs of everyone. Hilan culture believes in working and playing hard, and nowhere is that more apparent than in Daripur.
