Bronzesmiths
The Bronzesmiths are a wealthy guild located in the city of Bronzehall in Edrana. They own the majority of The Foundry, and serve as the city's de facto leaders. The guild is made up of a single, large family descended from the settlers who discovered the Foundry. The current leader of the family is Matriarch Eliza Bronzesmith.
From the beginning, the Bronzesmiths saw the potential of the Foundry. Initially, the family worked the ancient Pliscian Working by themselves, but as the settlement around them swiftly grew, they realized the benefits of regulation. The Bronzesmiths began renting out portions of the facility to independent contractors for a small share of the profits. Using these earnings as dowries, the Bronzesmiths acquired many of the early contractors, absorbing them by marriage and cementing their control of the Foundry.
As Bronzehall grew around them, the Bronzesmiths also leveraged their power to form the city to their liking. Using their wealth, the family oversaw the construction of infrastructure such as roads and sewers. They also subsidized the construction of new buildings, which incentivized immigration to their new city.
When Dahlia Harkkorp discovered the true nature of the Foundry's power in 423 AE, she brokered a deal with the Bronzesmiths to provide renewable energy to the city. She formed Harkkorp Industries, and in cooperation with the Bronzesmiths, continues to develop new inventions for the benefit of the city.
