Word of the Enkendled
History:
Acting as both religious manuscript and military manual, the Word of the Enkendeled is taught at monasteries, seminaries, and at most war colleges. Though it is Dwarven text both the Humans and Gnomes have made use of the text for training their troop, albeit with some of the religious zealotry omitted. Penned in the midst of the First Genasi Rebellions by Ryot Flintmaster when Dwarven troops were pushed to the brink. Ryot was given command of 12 Dwarven Regiments each with 15 trebuchet at their disposal. He dispensed with the traditional war tactics and instead opted for a new, bolder strategy. Ryot marched 1,200 Dwarves and their weaponry to the gates of Flux and bombarded the city relentlessly. The result the city was decimated beyond recognition and the Genasi army with it.Excerpt: Rallying Cry of the Enkindled
Brothers and sisters, heed these words - do unto others as they've done to you.
But we must ask ourselves, what is this world coming to?
We shall burn this city into nothingness, but fear not, for we shall not be burned by flame warfare, we shall lay to rest.
Fight fire with fire, for our enemies shall know the full force of our wrath.
Their defenses compromised, the resolve a cinder
We shall burn with Ignis' might, a beacon of hope for us to conquer our foes. Rise up, soldiers of faith, and let our holy war begin.
Relevance:
Dwarves aren't known for changing their tactics. Treating every battle like it is the last skirmish that will ever be fought has paid dividends. As every general worth their weight has read it, all know war with the Dwarves risks annihilation. Though no one has confirmed this in either camp, the Kobold Dispatch - Viggrom reported that "Upon being sent a copy of the Word of the Enkindled and told that a Regiment of Dwarves were advancing on his position, a Gnomish lieutenant surrendered his position, finding it better to leave with his men and his head than die with his sword and his pride."
