Kobold Dispatch - Viggrom

History & Lore

The two things that torment the Viggromese population more than anything else are the weather and boredom.  As such, the dispatch, has used a number of tactics to boost its readership.  The first among these measures are the weekly weather and crop reports (which cover a surprising amount of room). This added a little boost because, as the dispatch employees in Viggrom are fond of saying, "around here the weather is the news."  The second addition to the paper has been the advent of a daily crossword or puzzle with a subsequent prize.  The first citizen to bring a completed crossword or correct answers is rewarded a modest 25 GP reward.  While each day many compete for the prize, it is usually one of the archivists of the Great Library who end up winning, though they donate their winnings to a local orphanage.

Management:

Siks Yansu always had a mind geared towards problems and puzzles.  As a young Kobold, he would frequently challenge his parents with any number of riddles and games, though he is best known for his Scribe's School thesis, Theroms and Practical Solution with Regard to the Drow Elf Compact.  Though none of his practical solutions have been applied many suspect the best chance to resolve the situation may be in his writings. 
When not solving larger world issues, Siks can be found crafting new mazes, puzzles and games for local children who frequently stop into the Dispatch to test their mental metle against his.
